EDUCATORS ON CALL

Residential Advisors for a Philadelphia-based boarding school - this is an ideal job for a college student (with at least 60 college credits, a recent graduate, or a grad student). 

​

• Split shift day positions include housing, meals, and tuition reimbursement

• The schedule allows for advisors to attend higher ed classes or work part-time off-campus during the day and on weekends

• Sunday - Thursday work schedule

• Previous child-care experience or supervision of children required

• Associates degree (60 college credits) is the minimum requirement, BA preferred

• Ability to work well in a team environment

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent verbal communication skills

• Computer literate

• Valid driver's license

• Ability to live on campus

• The salary range for this position is $27,000- $35,000 based on education and experience

 

Duties and Responsibilities:  

• Support the students’ academic work through regular interaction with their teachers 

• Support the academic curriculum through homework and evening programs 

• Instruct and facilitate the Life Skills curriculum 

• Provide an accessible, supportive, and nurturing living environment for the students 

• Wake students and supervise them while they get ready for school 

• Accompany students to breakfast and supervise them while they eat 

• Receive students in the afternoon after they are dismissed from class 

• Supervise students during homework periods and after school activities  

• Accompany students to dinner and supervise them while they eat 

• Enforce rules, policies, and procedures governing good student conduct 

• Serve as a role model for the students 

• Accompany and/or drive students off-campus for educational and recreational activities

• Perform other duties as required
