The Educators On Call 7th Annual Book Drive had been on its journey to great success. As the months passed and the COVID-19 quarantine restricted many of us from our normal routines, our Book Drive had to be put on hold as well. Recently, we were able to safely transfer the donations and complete our mission! We couldn't quite reach our usual goal in donation numbers but we were able to gather up and donate the 300+ books that were contributed to us up until early March.

We appreciate each and every one of you who donated and took part in the Drive. You are a great influence in encouraging our youth to learn and grow! We are giving Philadelphia's youth the gift of reading in hopes to spark their passion for learning! We'd like to sincerely thank this year's recipient, Treehouse Books, for partnering with us to host this year's EOC Book Drive. We'd also like to extend a great thanks to our amazing drop site sponsors, Amalgam Comics and Mathnasium of Horsham for their generosity in collections. Let's continue to encourage our youth to take every opportunity to read and build their knowledge!

Educators On Call is so proud to share that we were selected for the @Caress & @IFundWomen of Color COVID-19 Grant Program! #ifundwomenofcolor is a platform dedicated to supporting diverse entrepreneurs with access to the capital, coaching, and connections needed to launch and grow successful businesses. They've recognized the many disadvantages that women of color may face during the time of COVID-19 and have chosen to assist some of these women. We are so grateful to be a part of this group.

We are currently raising funds to support families with student learning. As we are hosting Pod Programs (In-Person Pods & Remote Pods), we are seeking to provide students with academic enrichment and provide support to keep them on track, even with the current quarantine in place. Donations can be made to sponsor students who are anticipating our services. #ifundwomenofcolor's fundraiser will most definitely help us service our students and staff in a great way! We can all work together to ensure that education is valued and student success is taken as seriously as it should be.
